A writer and advisor whose work draws on field experience across security, investigations, and conservation.
Nathan Edmondson is a writer, consultant, and conservationist, and a native of Augusta, Georgia. His hit comics and other work draw on unusual, first-hand experience across a range of fields — a background that informs both the stories he tells and the advisory work he takes on.
He built his early reputation on creator-owned series at Image Comics, including Who Is Jake Ellis?, Olympus, The Light, and The Activity. He went on to write Grifter for DC and Ultimate Iron Man for Marvel, and is best known for his acclaimed runs on Marvel's The Punisher and Black Widow. He has also written for video games, including Splinter Cell: Echoes for Ubisoft.
Today his work centers on writing, producing for film and television, and security consulting. He also founded and continues to support Eco Defense Group, the non-profit working to protect African wildlife. He lives currently outside Park City, Utah.
A detective thriller set against the greatest tournament in golf, played as much in the mind as on the course.
Edmondson's novel is an affectionate story of the greatest tournament in golf wrapped in a detective thriller. This book deftly explores how the game of golf is played in the mind and on the course. — Dr. Bhrett McCabe, PhD · Clinical & Sports Psychologist, founder of The MindSide
If you've ever been to Augusta — or ever hoped to go — this book is an exciting must-read. A drive right to the green. — Travis Miller, Founder of PGA Memes and Five9Media
Nathan also takes on select ghostwriting projects — books and long-form work shaped in another's voice. Available by inquiry.
Alongside his writing, Nathan Edmondson maintains a small private advisory practice, drawing on direct operational experience in global security, investigations, and wildlife protection. He takes on a limited number of engagements at a time. Inquiries are welcome and treated in confidence.
Eco Defense Group is the non-profit Nathan founded to protect African wildlife. It brings operational discipline to anti-poaching and conservation work — training, planning, and on-the-ground support for the people defending threatened species and the habitats they depend on. It remains a cause he founded and continues to champion.
